Throughout the summer months, Dean John Elliott and Professor Terrance Martell have been working diligently with JP Morgan Chase to establish a corporate-university collaboration. This collaboration will be modeled after one established in June 2007 between JPMorgan Chase and Syracuse University. Zicklin and JPMC would work together, leveraging expertise on both sides, to embellish a curriculum in the financial services information technology area more in tune with the needs of our students. Both soft-skills and hard-skills would be delivered to Zicklin students involved in the program. As part of the program, students would work extended internships at JPMC (typically January through August). In order to accommodate these students, we would offer more opportunity for evening classes. Zicklin faculty would debrief recent JPMC hires to determine where our curriculum was lacking and where it was “right on”. Watch for more information – coming soon.
